RIDE THE ROCK
LAST WEEKEND IN JUNE
Riding the recently opened Rock Island Spur of the Katy Trail is a wonderful way to spend a
weekend doing something you like and helping out others at the same time.
The “Ride the Rock” bike ride is being sponsored by Windsor Lodge #187 as a way to celebrate the
annual Anniversary of the lodge as well as to raise money for two worthy charities.
As you leave Pleasant Hill, MO on Saturday you will be riding down the right-of-way of the former Rock Island Railroad. You will have the opportunity to visit the communities of Medford, Chilhowee and Leeton before ending up in Windsor. The total distance of the ride is 47 miles.
Once in Windsor, riders will have the opportunity to camp at Windsor's Katy Rock Junction. The camp ground is located just off the Katy Trail at the Windsor Trailhead. There will be free entertainment, food vendors and other activities planned for the riders and the non-riders as well.
