Pleasant Hill
Pleasant Hill is a city in Cass County with a population of 8,113. Pleasant Hill is home for the National Weather Service Office which serves 37 counties in northern and western Missouri and seven counties in extreme east-central Kansas.
Pleasant Hill was platted in 1844, and moved to its current site in 1865 when the railroad was built through the area. The community was named from its "pleasant situation on an elevated prairie.”
The Pleasant Hill Downtown Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.
Medford
Medford: Medford is an unincorporated community in Johnson County. Medford was laid out in 1905, and named after a railroad employee. A post office called Medford was established in 1905, and remained in operation until 1937.
Chilhowee
Chilhowee: Chilhowee is a city in Johnson County with a population of 335. Chilhowee was originally called Simpson's Store, and under the latter name was founded in the mid-1850s, and named after James Simpson, a local merchant. The name, “Chilhowee” is of Native American origin.
The Chilhowee Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.The inventor of Cheerios, James Evans was born in Chilhowee. After retiring, he moved to Windsor, MO.
Leeton
Leeton. Leeton is a city in Johnson County, and has a population of 566. Leeton was platted in 1895, and named after J. J. Lee, the original owner of the town site.
Visitors to Leeton should plan to stop by the Leeton Museum, which hosts a variety of Rock Island Railroad artificats, as well as thousands of pieces telling Leeton's history. More information about the Leeton Museum, including current hours, can be found at www.leetonmuseum.com.

Located in Henry County and Pettis County, Windsor, originally called Belmont, was platted on September 11, 1855. On May 20, 1868, Windsor Lodge #187 of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows was established.
Windsor at one time was known as the “Chicken Hatchery Capital of the World” as the community had several hatcheries that were sending baby chickens to all parts of the world.
Famous person from Windsor: Charles Stark "Doc" Draper (October 2, 1901 – July 25, 1987) was an American scientist and engineer, known as the "father of inertial navigation". He was the founder and director of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Instrumentation Laboratory, later renamed the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, which made the Apollo Moon landings possible through the Apollo Guidance Computer it designed for NASA.
